PLANS to re-brand a city centre bank have been approved by Bradford Council.
Virgin Money recently announced that all the banks that fall within its ownership, including Yorkshrie Bank, will be rebranded by Spring 2021.
Late last year a planning application for new signage at the Yorkshire Bank on Broadway was submitted to Bradford Council.
It would replace the blue Yorkshire Bank signage with a deep red Virgin Money branding.
The branch lies within the Bradford City Centre Conservation Area, and is a short distance from numerous listed buildings, meaning a full planning application was required.

Those plans have now been approved.
Heritage officers said: "Conservation are of the opinion that the replacement of the existing signage with the proposed advertisements is unlikely to impact to any greater extent on the setting of the Conservation Area than the existing situation.
"The window vinyls and ATM surrounds are somewhat brighter than the existing however this in itself is unlikely to have a significance impact on the setting of the conservation area."
In total 55 Clydesdale Bank and 67 Yorkshire Bank branches will undergo rebranding to Virgin Money Stores in the coming months.
