MATT Hancock says there is a good case for key workers to be the next in line for the Covid vaccines.

The Health Secretary says the Government is still on track to vaccinate the top four ‘clinically vulnerable’ categories of people including the Over-80s and care home residents by the February 15 deadline.

Mr Hancock also says there is a good case for police officers, teachers and shop workers to then be given the vaccine.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, Mr Hancock said: “Police, teachers and shop workers, there is a good debate on who goes next.

“It’s certainly something we are looking at, but there has been no final decision yet. The debate is healthy.

“The few days ahead of us is the critical period to know if this new national lockdown is working.”
