SPECIALIST cutting equipment had to be used to free a woman from a car after a road traffic accident in Mirfield this afternoon.
The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene of the road traffic collision at Liley Lane, Upper Hopton at 2.10pm.
The collision involved two cars and two people were injured.
One woman was extricated from a car by fire service personnel using specialist cutting equipment.
She was then transferred to hospital by ambulance.
Crews from Mirfield and Huddersfield attended the scene.
