BRADFORD has a yellow weather warning for ice today as the district’s cold snap continues.

Today’s top temperatures of just 3C in Bradford this afternoon will follow a cold night and morning, according to the Met Office.

This forms part of a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, in place until 11am today, for large parts of the UK, including Bradford.

The warning says ice is expected to readily form overnight as rain and snow clears.

People can expect Icy stretches will form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths and a higher likelihood of accidents and injuries due to icy surfaces.

Tomorrow is set to bring heavy showers to the district, ahead of a yellow weather warning for snow for Bradford on Thursday.
