BRADFORD City Women may not have any games for the foreseeable future, but one of their players is certainly keeping herself fit during the new national lockdown.

Defender Ellie Prothero is aiming to run 150 miles in 30 days to raise money for ovarian cancer.

On her Cancer Research UK giving page, she mentions that her grandmother died of cancer before she was born.

She also revealed that her best friend's mum has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, calling her "one of the most amazing, caring and selfless people that I have been lucky to meet".

Prothero is therefore determined to do her bit to help the cause, and her mission has been supported by lots of people already, as she has raised around £2,000 at the time of writing.

She went on her first run of the challenge this morning, completing seven miles in just under an hour.
