A MOTORWAY lane had to be closed this morning due to an oil can being in the way.
The object was in the middle of the first lane of the M1 northbound carriageway between junction 39 (A636, Denby Dale Road, Wakefield, Durkar) and junction 40 (A638, Wakefield Road, Ossett, Wakefield).
Lane one (of four) was closed while the oil can was removed from the road.
All lanes were fully reopened at around 10.45am.
