WE'VE delved into our archive to take a look back at Canterbury Estate over the years.
Last week the T&A reported on a new play about the lives of women on the Bradford estate, which is due to have an outdoor performance there this summer. Called Full English, it highlights the issue of white women marrying Pakistani men, and the way they were welcomed at Canterbury after being shunned by their husbands' families.

Here we look back at images from the Bradford estate in the 1980s. In one picture a woman looks to be holding up a letter or petition. Unfortunately we don’t have her name, or details of what she’s holding up. Would it be something to do with the development on the estate?
