SIR - My personal view is that One City Park (T&A, December 30) would be an incongruous feature of that area, spoiling the existing landscape which includes the iconic City Hall, Alhambra Theatre and the Odeon building.

If it has to be built at all, then surely far better on the large empty space adjacent to Forster Square Railway Station.

There are though many questions if it does indeed go ahead, such as: Is it a speculative development? What happens if it is not fully let?

To what extent would Bradford Council, and its ratepayers, be on the line for if it doesn't work out?

It would be totally unacceptable for Bradford Council to take any empty space to justify its existence.

Should there not be some definitive answers to such issues before any development commences?
