COMEDIANS, TV personalities and fellow sportsmen came out in their numbers to applaud Bradford star Joe Cullen’s efforts after he agonisingly dropped out of the William Hill World Darts Championship.
The likes of Stephen Fry, Richard Osman and Eddie Hearn complemented Cullen for living up to his nickname of the 'The Rockstar' against Michael Van Gerwen in 'one of the greatest matches of the century'.
Despite losing the last-16 clash 4-3, the Wyke ace has been credited for putting in a life's best performance on the grandest stage of them all.
Let's start with those from the entertainment business.
Sport can be so cruel. All over. MVG roars his triumph like a bull and Joe Cullen has to deal with despair … #WorldDartsChampionship
