SIR - On Sunday September 13 I accompanied my wife to the Primark store in Bradford to exchange an item of clothing. I was shocked, but not completely surprised at the poor Covid-19 precautions by a fair proportion of customers in the store.

There seemed to be no limit to people allowed in, there were customers of all ages, not wearing face masks, who did not look to have any obvious ailments to exclude wearing one, no social distancing. Why do Primark have a no-mask-no-service procedure like some shops do?

I felt safer in my local pubs (when allowed to open) who have spent a lot of money to make them Covid safe, and I feel are being unfairly treated.

Is it any wonder Bradford as had such a high Covid infection rate!
