LIBERTY Games has revealed the best video games to play during lockdown by analysing the amount of time it takes to complete the game and the difficulty rating.

As the nation has been plunged into lockdown once again, there’s plenty of time to pick up some new hobbies. Some will bake, others will read or knit and many will decide to start playing video games - but which one to choose?

Liberty Games has revealed the video games that will take the shortest amount of time to finish, so you can have the satisfaction of finishing a mammoth task.

The quickest game to complete during lockdown

Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII takes the shortest amount of time to complete, taking a total of 14 hours and 48 minutes - or just over half (0.6) of a day.

In second and third place are Call of Duty: Black Ops and Human: Fall Flat, taking 16 hours and 55 minutes, and 20 hours and 53 minutes to complete respectively.

Five different Call of Duty games feature in the top 20 for the quickest video games to complete, making it a must-have game for the month long lockdown. Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: WWII feature, with an average difficulty rating of 2.98.

The most difficult games to play

If you’re wanting to entertain yourself for a little longer this lockdown, then why not try to complete the games with the highest difficulty rating?

Cuphead is revealed to be the most difficult game to play, with a difficulty score of 4.25 out of 5 and taking an average of 22 hours and 57 minutes to complete.

The action game is then followed by Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege with a score of 3.77 out of 5, taking 36 hours and 21 minutes to complete. The third most difficult game to play is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild with a difficulty score of 3.45 out of 5, taking a total of 187 hours and 31 minutes, or 7.8 days of non-stop playing to complete.

In contrast, the easiest game to play during lockdown is Roblox, with a difficulty rating of 2.53 out of 5. The multiplayer game will also keep you occupied during lockdown, as it takes 30 hours and 21 minutes, or 1.2 days, to complete.

Fortnite takes a staggering 237 hours and 8 minutes, or 9.8 days of non-stop playing, to complete.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is second, taking a total of 7.8 days to complete, and Red Dead Redemption II is third, taking one week to finish.

If you’re looking to play a substantial game with ease, from the top 10 games that take the longest to complete, Forza Horizon 4 has the easiest difficulty rating of 2,71. The racing game takes a total of 106 hours and 19 minutes, or 4.4 days to complete.

Retro arcade games In comparison to modern-day video games, the average game of Pac-Man takes around 51 minutes to complete the main story, or around 18 hours and 30 minutes for the whole game at one’s leisure.

The record for completing a perfect game of Pac-Man on an arcade machine is 3 hours and 33 minutes - an impressive 4.5 times quicker than the shortest video game.
