A RETROSPECTIVE application for a cafe that has been operating for months has been submitted to Bradford Council.
Work on the Chaii Walay cafe, at the back of the Orange Street car park on Leeds Road, was completed in May.
Now, months later, a retrospective application for the work has been submitted by Shahid Khan.
The cafe is a converted metal container with a canopy in the front.
The planning application says the business created one full time and two part time jobs.

So far 23 people have written to the Council supporting the plans. Reasons for the support include good customer service at the cafe and claims that they serve “the most delicious donuts.”
One supporter said: “Definitely the best place for the best delights and in the most perfect place.”
However, one objector has raised concerns that the business puts extra pressure on the Orange Street car park - one of the few public car parks on Leeds Road.
A decision on the application is expected next month.
