PIZZA giant Papa John’s has announced plans to open a take away in Queensbury.
The US based food company hopes to move into an empty unit at Queensbury Court - the former Royal Eastern Restaurant off Brighouse Road.
The restaurant was recently converted into flats and three ground floor units, one of which has been empty since the changes were made.
The planning classification for that unit is retail, and Papa John’s has submitted an application to allow it to change this use to take away.
Approval for plan to turn 'underappreciated' building into restaurant
The application says the business would open from 11am to 11pm.
If approved, it would be just the second Papa John’s in the Bradford District, the other being in the Wrose area of Shipley.
A decision on the planning application is due next month.
