CO-OP’S Baildon store is to reopen next week after a million pound makeover.
The new look Northgate store opens its doors on December 10 after a £1.1m investment.
Three new members of staff join the team, and the store will offer Amazon and John Lewis click and collect services and a Costa Coffee point.
It will also have an increased focus on fresh, healthy produce, award-winning wines, ready meals and pizza, free-from and vegan products, Fairtrade, food-to-go and everyday essentials.
Derek Furnival, Co-op’s divisional managing director, said he was delighted they were able to make such a significant investment in West Yorkshire.
“Co-op is committed to connecting communities and making a difference locally, and our aim is to operate at the heart of local life. That is why we also want customers to know that they can become a member of their Co-op, and they can make a difference every time they swipe their Membership card when buying own branded products.”
The firm has also invested £950,000 in its Headingley store, which reopens on Monday.
