SIR - My sympathies lie completely with the supporters of Bradford Bulls. They deserve better. My beloved city of Bradford deserves better.

But any idea of the city’s rugby league team returning either to that awful place at Odsal, or rejoining the Super League, is pure fantasy. Most of the other clubs in contention have far better credentials, and in honesty, are more deserving.

Both Bradford’s rugby and football clubs have spiralled downward so spectacularly, I fear we may eventually have no representation in either code. At least Bradford Park Avenue have maintained integrity throughout, and never benefited from the ratepayers' enforced sacrifice.
