A FURTHER eight Covid-19 deaths have been recorded today at Bradford’s hospitals.

All eight have been seen at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, taking the total figure for the district to 553.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals has now seen 386 deaths from the deadly virus, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has seen 165, and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation has recorded two.

Nationally, a further 372 hospital deaths have been recorded today, taking the total number to 41,310.

Patients were aged 19 to 103 years old and all except 17, who were aged 19 to 93, had known underlying health conditions.

Elsewhere, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has now seen 590 deaths, Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust has recorded 573, and Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has seen 299 fatalities.

Yorkshire and the North East accounted for 61 fatalities recorded today, with the most - 100 - being seen in the Midlands.
