MARIE Curie is holding its annual Lights to Remember service online on Sunday. The service will include readings from Marie Curie nurses, volunteers and supporters and songs recorded virtually by staff at Bradford's Marie Curie Hospice and music from family members.

Guests have been invited to share a photograph of the person they are remembering to form a montage at the end of the service.

Jo Whincup, Hospice Manager at the Marie Curie Hospice, Bradford, said: “Everyone at Marie Curie is really looking forward to this event, which is always so important to staff and the people we support.

“In the circumstances we can’t be together in person, but we know it will be a special moment when we all watch it at the same time.

“It can be an emotional event, but also a really nice moment for families to take time to remember loved ones who have died. It also gives staff from the Bradford Hospice and Marie Curie Nurses across Yorkshire time to remember the people they have cared for.”

The Lights to Remember service is on Sunday, 4pm, and available to watch for two weeks afterwards. Registration is free at mariecurie.org.uk/get-involved/lights-to-remember
