A FURTHER five Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today.

According to the latest NHS figures, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported two, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported three.

One patient died at Bradford on Monday, November 30 and the other on Sunday, November 29. The three deaths at Airedale were all reported on November 29.

The deaths bring the number of patients who have died after testing positive for the virus in Bradford hospitals to 545 - 378 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 165 at Airedale General Hospital and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

In NHS England's daily update they announced a further 350 people had died following a positive test result in hospitals in England bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths to 40,938.

These patients were aged between 31 and 98 and all except nine, aged 44 to 92, had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from October 25 to November 30 with the majority being on or after November 24.

Their families have been informed.
