FEAR not Bradford (Park Avenue) fans, your team will be playing this weekend!

Mark Bower's team are still to have a break from Vanarama National League North action, but will play a charity friendly against neighbours Ossett United on Friday evening (7:30).

Ex-Avenue man Wayne Benn brings his bottom-placed Northern Premier League Division One North West team to Horsfall after not playing a game for over a month.

The friendly will be in aid of Sandale Community Trust, which is working with Bradford Council to provide much-needed food parcels in these difficult and testing times.

Sandale prepare and distribute food to homes around the Bradford area, whilst working alongside Friends of Harold Park, who have a food bank collection point in the park's bowls hut on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 1pm and 2pm.

Avenue encourage people to drop by and make a donation at any of these times over the next few weeks in the run up to Christmas.

In addition, the club will be live streaming the game for free, asking for any donation one can make to their JustGiving fund. Contributions will go directly to the charity.

Park Avenue will match the total raised on the night, meaning every single pound donated will result in £2 of food being purchased for those most in need in the local community.

Bradford can regain bragging rights after suffering a 2-1 defeat to United in one of their first friendlies of the season back in August.
