THE body of a man has been recovered from the bottom of a set of cliffs.
Police and coastguard crews were called to the scene shortly before 11.30am yesterday after a man was seen to fall from the cliffs at Beachy Head.
Coastguard crews arrived at the scene and scoured the area at the foot of the cliffs.
The coastguard helicopter was called to assist with the search.
The man's body was located and recovered.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "HM Coastguard officers alerted police after a man was seen to fall shortly from cliffs at Beachy Head shortly before 11.30am yesterday.
"A coastguard team recovered his body."
