NATIONWIDE builders merchants Jewsons have offered land for sale after they deemed it 'surplus to requirements'.

Halls Commercial, based in Shrewsbury, has been instructed to sell surplus commercial land adjacent to Jewson's yard off the A483 and Mile End Roundabout.

The land, which is in part concreted, is adjacent to the well-known builders’ merchants Jewson and accessed from Maes Y Clawdd.

James Evans, head of commercial at Halls, believes the opportunity to buy land on the commercial estate is a rare one.

"Sites like this one do not come to the market very often," he said.

"It is in an established trade counter quarter of Oswestry near to the intersection of the A5 and the A483. Other occupiers in the commercial estate include Screwfix and Sky Jack.’

"The site lends itself to a variety of commercial uses and commercial developments, subject to any statutory consents.

"The purchasers will be granted rights to access any service connections within the vendors retained land as part of the conveyance."

The property comprises of land and yard area that currently forms part of the Jewson Builders Merchants site with a 'Total Site Area' of approximately 1.58 acres that in part benefits from a concreted surface.

The site is surplus to the requirements of Jewson and in such they have made the decision to offer the site for sale, the sale will not impact the operation of the business as it currently stands.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a level piece of commercial land with exclusive direct access off the main Maes Y Clawdd commercial estate in Oswestry and frontage at the rear onto the A483.
