ENQUIRIES are continuing into the major scrap tyre fire in Bradford, West Yorkshire Police revealed today.

Firefighters remain at the site of a former go-kart track on Upper Castle Street, near the city centre, as they continue damping down.

It is expected this will go on "for a few days to come".

In the latest from police, it remains that two people have been arrested in connection with the fire on Tuesday night (November 17).

A 59-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman in North Yorkshire were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson. Both were interviewed on the Tuesday night and then released on bail.
