TELEGRAPH & Argus readers have been sharing lovely photos of their newborns - little rays of sunshine bringing joy to 2020.

Here we present more beautiful babies born in the district over recent months.

Heidi and Ella Webster were born at Calderdale Royal on July 20, weighing 7lb 7oz and 5lb 11oz, to Steven and Karen Webster of East Bierley. Little sisters for Olivia George Elliot.

Says Karen: "Heidi and Ella were our surprise shock arrivals. The day after Boris locked us down we found out we were having two baby girls. Doing a WhatsApp group gender reveal with family. Very strange but a good experience bringing them into the world.

"They are our sleeping beauties in this photo.

Benson Bob Holdsworth was born at BRI on October 2, weighing 10lb 2oz, to Katie Free and Ben Holdsworth of Bradford. A little brother for Archie and Tyler

Says Katie: "My due date was October 1 but due to him measuring big they induced me on October 2. It was a quick labour for us, they broke my waters at 7.40pm and Benson made his arrival at 9.15pm. The labour and birth went smoothly thankfully and I can't say thank you enough to the midwives that took care of me and my baby.

"Benson is pictured posing with his big brothers Archie, five, and Tyler, three."

Isabella Neive Ellis was born at BRI on June 10, weighing 6lb 14oz, to Lisa and Andy Ellis of Saltaire. A little sister for Jack, Sophie and Noah.

Says Lisa: "I was induced three weeks early on the ward at 12am on my own. The midwives were brilliant and rang my husband as soon as I went down to delivery at 7.30am. After a few hours of irregular contractions, established labour started at 2.30pm and our little girl was born at 6.21pm to complete our family, very much dreamed and hoped for sister for Jack, Sophie and Noah.

"Isabella is pictured at five-months-old."

Hollie May Crooke born at BRI on November 10, weighing 6lb 6oz, to Adele Crooke and Chris Dunbar of Bradford. A little sister for Sonnie.

Sonnie

Says Adele: "I was in labour in just under one hour and baby Hollie was born four days early. It was different from having my son because of the lockdown but I must say the BRI midwives were amazing."

Isla Rose Procter was born at BRI on November 20, weighing 7lb 10oz, to David Procter and Jessica Barker of Queensbury. A little sister for Jack and Leo.

Says David: "We had a very rough time leading up to the birth of our daughter. Jess from 26 weeks had reduced movements and the stress of coming into the maternity unit four times a week for CTG monitoring a growth scan and also a fetal Doppler scan and baby’s heart rate not at the ideal rate. The doctors were suspecting a heart condition and she was a very sleepy baby.

"Jess was induced at 37 weeks and baby was born at 11:53pm on November 20 weighing an amazing 7lb 10oz. Mum and baby are doing fine."

Lockdown restrictions mean that many mums are going into hospital and having their babies without a loved one by their side.

But it’s also a special time to be born, and we hope these picture galleries will be treasured keepsakes.
