THERE has been one new reported death from coronavirus in hospitals in the Bradford district.

NHS England announced in today's update (Sunday, November 22) that there was one further death reported from the Covid-19 virus at hospitals in the district.

It is a big decrease from yesterday's daily update, when seven new deaths were reported.

That took the total amount of deaths at hospitals in the Bradford district from the virus beyond the 500 mark to 507.

The death reported today was at Airedale General Hospital.

It happened yesterday, on Saturday, November 21.

There were no further deaths at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The total death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 508 - 354 at BRI, 152 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England announced 67 patients at hospitals in the North East and Yorkshire who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

There were an extra 222 deaths reported today across England, taking the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in the country to 38,334.

Patients in today's update were aged between 30 and 99-years-old. 

All except five (aged 30-81) had known underlying health conditions.

The dates of the deaths ranges from Tuesday, October 27 to Saturday, November 21.

Their families have been informed.
