LATEST UPDATE: One new coronavirus death reported at hospitals in Bradford district

THERE have been seven new reported deaths from coronavirus in hospitals in the Bradford district.

NHS England announced in today's update (Saturday, November 21) that there were seven further deaths reported from the Covid-19 virus at hospitals in the district.

It is a slight drop from yesterday's daily update, when eight new deaths were reported.

That took the total amount of deaths at hospitals in the Bradford district from the virus to the 500 mark, and Saturday's update takes the toll beyond that.

Four of today's reported deaths happened at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), with three at Airedale General Hospital.

Two of the deaths reported today at BRI happened on Thursday, November 19, with one on Tuesday, November 17 and another back on Thursday, October 29.

All three of the deaths reported today at Airedale happened on Thursday, November 19.

There were no further deaths at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The total death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 507 - 354 at BRI, 151 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England announced 84 patients at hospitals in the North East and Yorkshire who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

There were an extra 316 deaths reported today across England, taking the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in the country to 38,112.

Patients in today's update were aged between 28 and 102-years-old. 

All except five (aged 64-96) had known underlying health conditions.

The dates of the deaths ranges from Wednesday, June 3 to Friday, November 20.

Their families have been informed.
