AN AUDI carried on driving even after a front porch door got lodged in the top of the car.

West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) shared a bizarre photo on Twitter this morning, after being called to Ashworth Road, in Dewsbury (a residential street).

It showed a grey Audi with a white front porch door sticking out of the roof.

The top of the vehicle was completely destroyed, with the door also damaging the windscreen and seemingly blocking the view for any driver or passenger.

But apparently, this didn't faze the driver.

The Audi had already collided with a vehicle, before then hitting the front porch of a house.

It was at this point that the door somehow became wedged in the top of the car, but the driver still continued on for several metres.

Officers arrested the driver on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Driver collided with a vehicle, then the front porch of a house - before then continuing to drive for several metres with front door attached to car.

"Driver arrested suspected unfit through drink/drugs."
