City centre bank closed after attempted robbery
A CITY centre bank is closed this afternoon following reports of an attempted robbery.
Officers were called to Lloyds Bank, on Hustlergate, at around 10.10am. A handwritten sign on the window says the bank is closed.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The male had fled from the scene on foot and nothing was taken.
"A scene is in place whilst enquiries continue.
"Anyone who witnessed anything in the area or has any further information is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting crime reference number 13200579544 or via the website.
"Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
