LATEST NEWS: Only one train service operating to and from Bradford Interchange due to tyre fire

No trains are expected to run in or out of Bradford Interchange for the fourth day in a row.

The ongoing tyre fire on a former go-kart track right next to Mill Lane Junction, on the approach to the Interchange, has led to all lines being blocked since Monday morning.

In its latest update, National Rail Enquiries said: "A large fire on a property near Bradford Interchange has resulted in all lines being blocked. Trains are expected to remain disrupted until at least the end of the day on Thursday 19 Novermber."

Trains from Bradford Interchange connect the city to a number of locations including Manchester Victoria, Huddersfield, Halifax and Leeds.

National Rail Enquiries said: "Trains are unable to run to and from Bradford Interchange.

"Trains will be cancelled in full or will be diverted not to call at Bradford Interchange. Some trains will start / terminate at alternative stations to normal."

Between Leeds and Manchester Victoria via Bradford Interchange - The train service is reduced to one train per hour, in each direction, instead of two services per hour. Trains will be diverted, not calling at Bramley, New Pudsey, Bradford Interchange and Low Moor. Trains towards Manchester Victoria will also not call at Halifax.

Between York and Blackpool North - These services will be diverted where possible, not calling at New Pudsey, Bradford Interchange and Halifax. If they are unable to divert, they will either run between Halifax and Blackpool North only, or will be cancelled.

Between Halifax and Hull - These services will run between New Pudsey and Hull only. They will not call at Halifax or Bradford Interchange.

Between Huddersfield and Bradford Interchange - These services will operate between Huddersfield and Halifax only.

Alternative travel options: You may use your ticket on TransPennine Express services between Manchester and Leeds.

Customers travelling between Bradford and Leeds are advised to use Bradford Forster Square station, as this route is not affected.
