A BRADFORD couple have set up a Christmas lights display outside their house to try and lift people’s mood and raise awareness of mental health problems.

Kyle Caddick and Louise Finch have put the lights up on their house in Shay Drive, Heaton, and are encouraging people to visit their street to take a look.

Mr Caddick, who struggles with mental health issues himself, said: “It’s been a hard year for us all and for people who suffer with poor mental health.

"Every year thousands of people, including myself, suffer with mental health, and with lockdown it's been even harder.

“We wanted to bring some joy to Bradford, and people are welcome to drive past to enjoy the lights. I hope people see them and enjoy them, spreading joy makes my day."

Mr Caddick also extended thanks to LS Decorating & Handyman Services, based in Halifax, for helping to put the decorations up free of charge.

The couple, who also provide food to the homeless in the city centre, have said they would also welcome any food and drink donations.
