THERE have been four further COVID-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS England figures.
Three of the deaths were reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - two patients were reported to have died on Monday and one patient yesterday.
One death was also reported by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, with the patient reported to have died yesterday.
It means that the total number of COVID-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 490 - 346 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 142 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Nationally, a further 282 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 37,124, NHS England says.
Patients were aged between 38 and 101 years old. All except 12 of them, who were aged between 64 and 95-years-old, had known underlying health conditions.
Their families have been informed.
The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
