TELEGRAPH & Argus readers have been sharing lovely photos of their newborns - little rays of sunshine bringing joy to 2020. Here we present more beautiful babies born in the district over recent months.

Abigail Victoria Macleod was born at BRI on March 27, 8lb 4oz, to Laura Williams and Ryan Macleod of Clayton. A little sister for Esmé.

Says Laura: "I went into labour naturally four days after my due date and I spent the majority of my labour at home and then went to the BRI at 11pm and Abigail made her appearance and 12:55am.

I had a water birth which was amazing and the midwife said I would likely be the last one for a while due to new restrictions that day. The staff at the BRI were brilliant and Abigail has settled in to our "new normal" and our little family perfectly."

Erin Alana Willow Brant, pictured with big sister Lucy, was born at BRI on October 18, weighing 9lb 1oz, to Andrew and Helen Brant of Nab Wood. A little sister for Lucy.

Says Helen: "Erin was born very quickly on ward M3 at BRI. So quickly that her daddy missed it! Lucy is pictured meeting her baby sister Erin for the first time."

Maria Jeanette Clarkson was born at BRI on July 26, 8lb 3oz, to Amy and Simon Clarkson. A little sister for Holly.

Says Amy: "Maria was born via a emergency caesarean at 9.58am after a 19-hour labour. She was born eight days early after a planned induction. I was so scared Simon wasn't going to be allowed to theatre with. But was so thankful that he was."

Aniya-Mae Dennis was born at BRI on August 17, weighing 8lb 1oz, to Chanelle Crooke and Marley Dennis of Clayton.

Says Chanelle: "My labour was only three hours to say it was my first. She was worth every bit of pain."

Amaya Mohsin was born BRI on May 28, weighing 5lb 8oz, to Anisa Shaheen and Mohsin Mahmood of Thornbury. A sister for Adam, Alisha and Adil.

Says Anisa: "Baby Amaya was born at 2.26am, a beautiful gift to the family in lockdown although it was tough not knowing if Dad would be allowed at the birth. All went well, Amaya using phone to connect with the world in lockdown.

"Our beautiful baby girl is so beautiful."

Lockdown restrictions mean that many mums are going into hospital and having their babies without a loved one by their side. But it’s also a special time to be born, and we hope these picture galleries will be treasured keepsakes.
