Sir, I read in the regular e-mail Council notice that Cliffe Castle in Keighley had installed a bees' sanctuary. As is well known, bees are essential for pollinating vegetation.
Cartwright Hall in Lister Park had a bees' sanctuary with a white streak painted on the relevant window sill on the west side of the building for the bees to find their way home. About 25 years ago the site was dismantled. I wonder why?
