MORE than two decades after her death, Princess Diana is making headlines again.
The BBC is holding an investigation into what led to her famous Panorama interview in 1995, and in the new series of hit Neflix drama The Crown, viewers will see the young Lady Diana Spencer’s impact on the Royal family...
Here we look at Princess Diana’s visits to the Bradford district. In March 1987 she was in Saltaire (pictured in a blue coat) and in July 1989 (pink checked suit) she was at the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope. In September 1991 (white suit) Diana met staff at Damart HQ in Bingley, and crowds outside, and toured Shipley Resource Centre, meeting adults with learning disabilities.
Centre manager Rosie Hawley said: “She spent a lot of time with the service users. I think that was the most memorable thing. She had a very natural rapport.
"She gave people the time they needed to express themselves to her. I think her aides were getting a bit hot under the collar, they were supposed to get off to Damart, but she wasn’t going to be hurried away.
“It was a fabulous day.”
