A FREE support initiative for micro-businesses in the Bradford District has recently launched, providing help for small businesses in retail and hospitality that may be suffering from the impact of Coronavirus.

The Bradford District Microbusiness Support Service consists of:

• A website containing information, tips and resources on topics such as government support, finance, marketing and HR, along with a directory and signposting to other sources of business support.

• Business clinics – telephone one-to-one sessions with local advisors where business owners can access bespoke advice and support. Slots are available on evenings and weekends to ensure as many businesses as possible can access the support. These sessions can be booked via a website www.mybusinessbradford.info which will be launching soon. Advisors will be available to deliver business advice and solutions, in addition to supporting the wellbeing of small business owners.

• A forum of case studies showcasing the work local businesses are doing to adapt their business models and survive the current time – it is hoped that these will prove helpful and inspiring to others.

A series of free, online workshops will also be hosted by the service during 2020/21, with the first, a ‘Prepare for Peak’ Christmas themed event taking place on Wednesday 18 November at 10am. To sign up to this event, visit here

“Our Bradford District Microbusiness Support Service will help local smaller businesses in retail and hospitality to adapt and shift their operations so they can survive and thrive in this extremely challenging economic environment.”

The project is being delivered by Bradford Council and Insight with Passion, the business transformation experts.
