A LOCAL cricket club has seen plans to expand its clubhouse given the green light following backing from the ECB.
Pudsey St Lawrence Cricket Club’s plans for the creation of a new bar area have been approved by Leeds City Council.
The new extension will feature a bar area, toilets, new seating area and a beer cellar for club members and the public to benefit from.
The England and Wales Cricket Board backed the plans, saying: “The development has no impact on the playing of cricket on the site and the proposals will support the club in securing additional income to help them remain viable.”
Pudsey St Lawrence, based in Tofts Road, currently play in the Bradford Cricket League Premier Division, and won the curtailed 2020 Premier West league.
