The emerging food delivery service works exclusively with local restaurants and will provide greater choice and convenience to customers in Skipton.

Food lovers across the local community are poised to have their horizons broadened from September 1st and beyond as Deliveree makes its highly anticipated arrival in the Skipton area.

Combining the convenience of a takeaway and tasty goodness of a restaurant, the independent delivery service enables customers to order delicious food from their favourite establishments and have it delivered directly to their door, any day of the week.

Deliveree's profile and popularity have developed swiftly in neighbouring Halifax since its launch in 2018 through an alternative business approach, which has succeeded in driving sustained growth and high customer satisfaction.

Rather than partnering with national chains already available through the majority of delivery companies, Deliveree works solely with local self-reliant enterprises, providing greater choice for everybody when ordering from home.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Now that the platform is coming to Skipton, customers will also have greater flexibility when choosing what to order. While many food delivery services operate within a radius between one and three miles, Deliveree caters to users as far as five miles away meaning more restaurants will be available for community members.

Customers simply enter the delivery address postcode, browse restaurants in the area, place their order, and follow the payment instructions. Once the chef has finished preparations in the kitchen, a Deliveree driver will be there to collect and deliver.

"At Deliveree, we are driven by our values of further, faster, and cheaper," said Ben Hillam, Deliveree director and co-founder.

"Besides the five-mile radius to help ensure customers living in specific locations don't miss out on ordering from preferred restaurants, our drivers are GPS-tracked to quickly respond to order requests and partners pay smaller fees than our competitors, so they have the opportunity to grow their brand.

"Response and reception from residents and the local F&B community have been extremely positive at this early stage.

"Given the ongoing difficulties concerning COVID-19, restaurants require support from a business continuity standpoint as many customers choose to stay home and stay safe. Through our resources and the service we provide, restaurants can continue operating as usual, and customers can still visit without the need to travel."

The Deliveree app is available to download from the app store, and all payments are verified through the brand's secure online portal linked to a major high street bank's payment gateway.

Every order is assigned a Deliveree driver who will never make more than one stop en route, guaranteeing orders are received quicker on every occasion.
