KINDHEARTED Bradford City fans have raised more than £5,000 to help pay towards the gate receipts for their opponents in the FA Cup tomorrow.
Bantams supporter Jonnie Carrington set up an online fundraising page after City were drawn to play Kent-based non-league side Tonbridge Angels in the competition’s first round tomorrow lunchtime.
He had initially set up the page to raise £1,000 - the amount Angels would usually receive if City fans could attend the cup clash.
But that target was smashed and at time of writing now stands at £5,250.
However, due to covid fans are not allowed to attend any football fixture in person, so Angels were due to miss out on the revenue from Bantams fans.
Mr Carrington took to Twitter to thank everyone who has donated:
You absolute angels!!

Angels manager Steve McKimm thanked Mr Carrington and everyone who has donated, joking with the amount raised that the Bantams might be travelling to the game by train. He Tweeted:
