SIR - The Government is in a permanent no-win situation with Covid-19, never being able to do right for doing wrong.
It is impossible not to make mistakes heading into the unknown and I doubt that anyone, without hindsight, could have done any better.
I have to say that the continued hostile approach of Bradford's Labour Council leader Susan Hinchcliffe really is not helping when more collaboration would surely be preferable (T&A, November 2). She may have been told twice recently that the country was not going into national lockdown, but obviously things are changing virtually on a daily basis. Perhaps she could reflect a bit more before sounding off.
Heaven forbid if she was to become the West Yorkshire Mayor. That really is the last thing that this region needs. She obviously has a much higher opinion of herself than do many of her long-suffering ratepayers.
