IN this week's through the keyhole, we are taking a look inside one of the quirkiest Airbnb bookings currently available in the Bradford district.

While the national lockdown doesn't permit overnight stays away from home, this unique spot in Addingham could be the perfect place for a romantic mini-break post lockdown, or as a camp for a walking holiday in our beautiful moors.

The 'tiny-house' Hardwick Bothy is a unique miniature location, with everything packed into a wonderfully cosy space and would be the ideal getaway for up to three people.

Advertised as a "secluded and cosy moorside bothy" (bothy is a Scottish word for a small hut or cottage, especially one for housing farm labourers or for use as a mountain refuge), it is based in Moorside Lane in the heart of Ilkley Moor.

It features a living space, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom all packed into the cosy wooden hut, with stunning views across the moor.

On the listing, the hut, owned by 'superhost' Tracy, is described as having "spectacular views and cosy accommodation".

It is "situated at the foot of Ilkley Moor" and surrounded by "unique moorland flora, fauna, and wildlife habitat and site of Bronze Age carved rocks, including two of Simon Armitage's stanza stones".

It adds: "The Bothy has been lovingly built to reflect local vernacular architecture using recycled materials."

The tiny-house is dog friendly and also has wifi, on-site secure car parking and bike storage, and an outdoor seating area.

Hardwick Bothy has great views over the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and is close to the Beamsley Beacon and Dales Way walking routes, as well as being walking distance to Ilkley, Addingham and the River Wharfe to Bolton Abbey and Strid Woods.

The tiny house has five-star reviews across the board, with previous guests describing it as a "beautiful" and "stunning" location.

Joe, who stayed at Hardwick Bothy in September, said: "This is a really special spot and one of the most relaxing Airbnb experiences we've ever had.

"Although small it's super comfortable and really cosy.

"Just outside Ilkley it's a great spot to explore Yorkshire from. If you're a couple looking for a countryside retreat then this is the place for you!"
