POLICE are appealing for information after a jewellers was ram-raided last night and £30,000 worth of jewellery stolen.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 6.15pm on Tuesday, when a black Nissan Turano was used to ram-raid Rajput Jewellers in Rounday Road, Leeds.

Suspects are believed to have stolen around £30,000 in jewellery before fleeing in a stolen Nissan Juke, which was later found abandoned in the Burmantofts area of the city and had been stolen earlier this week.

Police enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information which may help the investigation is asked to contact police by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 132000551192.
