A Bradford city centre pub - renowned for its quality ales - has announced it will stay open in Tier 3 despite Monday's new restrictions requiring pubs to serve 'substantial' meals.
The Jacobs Well, next to the roundabout of the same name, has revealed plans to transform from Bradford's 'original brewhouse' into the city's 'new pie house.'
The pub has decided to 'give it a go' under the highest tier of lockdown, as many others across the district contemplate their next move.
In a tweet tonight, the pub said: "Tier 3 won't be easy but we're going to give it a go under the new guidance, from Monday we go from Bradford's Original Beerhouse to Bradford's New Pie House. Initially we will be serving our usual range of homemade pie and peas, we will also experiment with extending our range."

One observer tweeted: "I'm confused .....I thought the boozers were shut."
The pub clarified: "From Monday we will be operating as a restaurant, we will still have our fabulous range of drinks available to accompany a meal though."
Many wished the pub well in its new venture, with one saying: "Good luck, great little pub."
One woman said: "Pie and peas like they used to sell in the old Kirkgate market. Now that would be good."
Another said: "Good on 'em."
