LATEST NEWS: Fears growing that Woolworths return could be a 'hoax'
PEOPLE on Twitter have been getting nostalgic about a former High Street favourite today as Woolworths has been trending after unconfirmed reports it is making a comeback.
That got us thinking. What are your memories of Woolies in Bradford?
The chain which seemed to sell everything, but everyone loved the Pick ‘n’ Mix, shut its doors for the final time in January 2009 including branches in Bradford, Shipley and Ilkley. Maybe people are recalling sifting through the Woolies Christmas catalogue at this time of year.

Here is a trip down memory lane with the closure of the Darley Street Woolworths store in March 1984.
It was the chain's 37th store which opened in 1914.
The Woolies Then and Now website, which details all of the chain's store's history across the country, says their former Darley street site has been split up into Topshop/Topman, Scotts and Dorothy Perkins/Burton/Evans shops over recent years.
