ONE further Covid-19-related hospital death has been reported in Bradford today. 

The patient died on Friday (October 23) at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. 

According to figures released by NHS England, this means the total number of hospital deaths in the Bradford district now stands at 412, with 290 deaths reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 120 by Airedale and two by the Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. 

Nationally, the deaths of 76 who tested positive for Covid-19 were announced, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 31,819.

Patients were aged between 43 and 100 years old. All except three, aged between 71 and 83, had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from August 28 to October 24, with the majority being on or after October 21.

London - 2

Midlands - 26

North East & Yorkshire - 14

North West - 20    

South East - 7

South West - 2  

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure. This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
