A PROJECT in Bradford that supports young refugees has scooped £20,000 as part of a leading housebuilder’s charity campaign supporting under-18s across the nation.
Refugee Action’s At Home in Bradford programme won one of the top prizes in the Persimmon Homes Building Futures campaign, which encouraged applications in three categories – education and arts, health, and sports.
Through the project, Refugee Action works with more 500 children and young people every year to help them restart their education, make friends and plan for their future.
The project helps integrate children into schools.
Dame Katherine Grainger, former Olympian, presented the online final.
