THERE has been one further Covid-19 death reported in Bradford's hospitals today, taking the district's total figure 394.

The death comes as the total for England has surpassed the 100 mark, standing at 134.

The single death happened at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which has now seen 277 deaths.

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has seen 115 deaths, while Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has recorded two.

Nationally, the 134 deaths were of patients aged 36 to 100-years-old, and all but six of these people - who were aged 68 to 91 - had known underlying health conditions.

Yorkshire and the North East saw 34 of these deaths, while the North West saw the most with 57. Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust saw seven of these deaths, with Mid Yorkshire and Calderdale & Huddersfield both seeing one each.
