Drivers can be one step closer to living the celebrity lifestyle by leasing their favourite celebs’ car for a fraction of the purchase price. However, not all celebs opt for the most expensive and glamorous cars on the market…

A number of celebs are steering away from flashy makes and models in favour of simpler cars to get from A to B, whether opting for more eco-friendly options, to blend in with the public on days off, or perhaps to enjoy the simpler things in life.

Some celebs with a desire for more basic models are Leonardo DiCaprio and Serena Williams, who are known for driving less flashy motors in favour of something more classic or environmentally friendly.

Unlike most celebrities who are splashing the cash, Leonardo DiCaprio has opted for the understated Toyota Prius Hybrid. A firm favourite amongst Uber drivers in the UK, this model typically costs between £26,000 - £32,000 when bought outright, but those who want to follow in Leo’s footsteps for less can expect to pay around £288 per month with a lease.

Another low-key celebrity car is Serena Williams’ Mini Cooper Hatch which costs £24,990 when bought new. In actual fact, this miniature motor is being served up for just £313 a month when leased – making it easily attainable for fans of the Italian Job.

A popular car choice among many celebs is the SUV, widely known for their four-wheel drive capabilities and powerful engines.

One of Britain’s much-loved chefs, Jamie Oliver, drives the extremely popular Land Rover Discovery which is seen regularly on the roads. Costing a whopping £62,000 when bought in one payment, this motor will cost drivers £587 on a monthly leasing deal instead.

Sports fans who have a need for speed and love a bit of luxury will be excited to know that Harry Kane’s Jaguar F-Pace, which would typically costs you £44,431 is available for £513 a month on a leasing deal. For those wanting to replicate the celebrity style on a higher budget, there are a number of celeb cars which definitely make a statement and have the price tag to match.

Unsurprisingly, Stormzy drives around in a sleek and stylish Mercedes G-Wagon. This motor doesn’t come cheap, costing £93,250 when bought outright, but drivers can lease it for £1,534 per month which is a fraction of the cost.

One of the most well-known celebrity cars on the road is Katie Price’s Range Rover, famous for its hot pink paintwork and expensive price tag, but drivers can get their hands on this make and model for £850 a month, compared to the typical cost of £72,000 - £87,000.

Some celebs are even shunning slicker looking models in favour of an electric vehicle (EV) to help save the planet.

Daytime TV treasure Lorraine Kelly is one as she drives the eco-friendly Nissan Leaf. This motor has a price tag of just £253 per month when leased compared to £22,990 when paid for in one lump sum.

Radio listeners will love to get behind the wheel of Ronan Kemps’ sporty Volkswagen Golf, perfect for young professionals or families wanting a reliable car. This would usually cost £26,323 when paid for in full - however, this motor is available to lease for £254 a month. Leasing is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing outright that sees drivers making a small initial payment upfront, followed by a series of much smaller monthly payments for a fixed length of time.

At the end of the lease term, drivers can then return the car and take out a new lease on a new vehicle of their choice.
