A HUGE new light installation has been unveiled at the Broadway Bradford to thank NHS and key workers for their tireless efforts so far during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The major installation has been constructed on the corner of the malls in the city centre shopping venue, outside the Marks & Spencer and Next stores.

It features rainbow-coloured lights which changes and ripple in a dazzling spectacle, as well as the NHS logo in a love heart to show the city's appreciation for the hard work that doctors, nurses, the NHS staff and other key workers have put in to care for the sick since the Covid-19 pandemic took hold in March.

This is the latest way that the city has paid its thanks to selfless NHS staff who have given their all during the pandemic.

It also follows more than £10,000 being raised by the Broadway last year to support its official charity the Bradford Hospitals' Charity.

Shoppers are being encouraged to take selfies with the installation - and a pair of feather wings nearby - to thank the NHS, and if they post them on social media tagging @BroadwayBradford and the hashtag #BroadwayThanksNHS, they could win a shopping gift card with £100.
