LATEST UPDATE: Armed police scrambled to Bradford house over ‘suspicious activity’

National Police Air Service dispatched a force helicopter to the scene to provide overhead assistance at around 6pm tonight.

Armed officers in specialist PPE and weapons drawn were seen focusing their attention to one particular property.

Around 10 armed officers are at the scene supported by local officers ensuring the area is safe.

Residents returning home from work to their address have been told they are not allowed into the street until the incident is resolved.

Traffic was halted on Kings Road for a short period in both directions, but has since re-opened.

Local residents say the street is “normally quiet with elderly people living here and young kids playing out. It's always been nice.”

The incident, however, remains live and is ongoing, officers have said at this stage there is no threat to the wider public.
