THERE is set to be disruption to services running through Skipton Railway Station until the end of the day, due to a broken and bent point.
Northern Rail revealed the news on social media website, Twitter, at around 1.22pm today.
All lines serving and leaving Skipton Railway Station were reopened at that time, after an earlier safety inspection of the track there.
But, Northern said train services running through the station would still be delayed by up to 10 minutes.
It was expected that the disruption would run until 2pm, but Northern posted on Twitter again at 1.59pm to outline train services running through Skipton are now expected to be impacted for the rest of the day.
The train operator then posted a picture of a broken and bent railway point, which had been the subject of the earlier safety check and has caused the disruption issues.
