A LEADING Bradford employer has acted quickly after discovering four positive tests for Coronavirus.
The cases at BorgWarner, which is based on the Euroway Industrial Estate, affect employees on its night shift and the entire night is now self-isolating for two weeks.
The automotive industry components and parts manufacturer, which employs around 400 people in Bradford, was quick to respond after discovering the cases on Monday.
A spokesperson on behalf of senior management at BorgWarner said: "On Monday we have had four confirmed positive cases of Coronavirus on the assembly night shift in Bradford.
"The safety of our employees is our top priority, which is why we have suspended that shift for two weeks, affecting around 14 employees.
"This is a precaution only and above any public health guidance we have received.
"The Bradford facility is a COVID-secure workplace and the practices that we have in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in the workplace have been praised by Environmental Health.
"We are in close contact with Public Health England and the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that any possible outbreaks are contained.
"We wish the affected colleagues well and a speedy recovery."
